Opinions on rust?

I want to watch people argue about cargo compilation times and how crates is a shit package registry

i only have experience with python LOL

and a lil bit of js and ruby

the only people i know who code in rust are like genuine faggots

Rust is better for security over C, and are usually in best cases for memory safe and efficient projects. If you're trying to make a program thats an executable and don't want it to kill itself due to misimplementation of, lets say, multithreading, then rust would be a better and safer option. If you're planning a project that relates to scripting, web scraping, etc. IMO python or js would be sufficient than learning a whole new language, or worse, reliance on AI to port code to rust.
